Miss Universe India 2026 Kaziah Liz Mejo has returned to Abu Dhabi, the city where she grew up, after winning the national title and proudly bringing her crown back to the place she considers home.
The 19-year-old law student recently met UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan during her homecoming.
Her return has also marked a special moment for the school, teachers, and friends she left behind in Abu Dhabi.
Before competing for the national title, Mejo had promised her Abu Dhabi school community that she would return with the crown.
She fulfilled that promise after being crowned Miss Universe India 2026 in Jaipur on August 23.
Mejo will now move on to the international stage, where she is scheduled to represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico in November.
She will compete against contestants from around the world as she seeks to win the global title and bring another major achievement to her growing pageant career.
