A new flying taxi service is coming to Abu Dhabi in the next few months. Archer, a company from the United States that makes electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, is preparing to launch its “Midnight” aircraft as a flying taxi later this year.
Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) will be the first company to use these flying taxis. They plan to operate a fleet that will help people travel quickly between different emirates. Instead of spending 60 to 90 minutes driving by car, passengers will be able to reach their destination in just 10 to 30 minutes.
The project will include partnerships to train pilots, manage flight operations, and raise awareness within the community. The goal is to make urban air travel faster, more convenient, and efficient for residents and visitors in the UAE.
