Sharjah Ruler Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi has approved a new administrative division of Khor Fakkan into four districts: Khor Fakkan City, Al Aweinat, Al Sayh and Al Sabihiya.
The move is part of broader efforts to support the city’s growing population and improve the planning and delivery of public services.
At the same time, healthcare infrastructure is set to expand across Sharjah’s eastern region, with new hospitals and additional medical resources planned for Kalba, Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al Hisn.
The developments are expected to improve access to healthcare, strengthen essential services and support sustainable growth across the region.
The initiatives reflect Sharjah’s wider focus on enhancing infrastructure and quality of life for residents as communities continue to expand.
