UAE Tailors Work 13-Hours Shifts to complete Orders for Ramadan and Eid

Tailors in the UAE are facing a very busy and stressful time as they work hard to complete orders for three important Islamic festivals: Hag Elilah, Mukhawara, and Eid Al Fitr. These celebrations require different types of traditional clothing, and many customers wait until the last minute to place their orders. As a result, tailoring shops are overwhelmed with work, forcing some to stop accepting new orders or extend their delivery times.

Each festival has its own special clothing traditions. Hag Elilah, which takes place before Ramadan, is mainly celebrated by children who wear festive outfits. Mukhawara is a traditional dress worn by women throughout the holy month of Ramadan. Finally, for Eid Al Fitr, people wear their best and most elegant clothing to celebrate the end of fasting. With so many different outfits to prepare, tailors are under immense pressure to meet the high demand.

To keep up with the large number of orders, many tailoring shops have extended their working hours. Some are now staying open for as long as 13 hours a day, with tailors working late into the night to finish garments on time. Despite the challenges, they are doing their best to ensure that customers receive their clothes before the celebrations begin.
