Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced a new policy requiring all private schools and early childhood centers to teach the Arabic language to children from birth to six years old.
This rule will take effect in September 2025 and is designed to promote the Arabic language and strengthen the connection between young learners and Emirati culture. By introducing Arabic at an early age, the initiative aims to help children develop a deeper understanding of their heritage while improving their language skills. Schools and childcare centers will now include Arabic learning as an essential part of early education.
