Kuwait has officially opened military recruitment for women, allowing eligible female citizens to apply for service in the Kuwait Army as part of the country’s continued efforts to expand opportunities for women in national service.
The Ministry of Defense announced that applications are open to women with a range of educational qualifications, including university degrees, diplomas, high school certificates, as well as Grade 11 qualifications and below.
The move is aimed at attracting talent from diverse educational backgrounds to support the country’s growing defense needs.
Online registration will be available through the Ministry of Defense’s volunteer recruitment portal from July 7 to July 13.
Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will be able to complete the registration process electronically during the application period.
The initiative represents another milestone in Kuwait’s efforts to strengthen women’s participation in the armed forces while promoting greater inclusion within the military.
By opening recruitment to female citizens across different qualification levels, the country seeks to build a more diverse and capable defense workforce while creating new career opportunities for women who wish to serve their nation.
